Atlas Ahead

The letter

We follow corruption cases past the moment they leave the news. Most of what we find does not arrive on a schedule — a case moves years after everyone stopped watching, or it does not move at all and that is the story.

The letter is how we tell you when something has actually changed: a charge filed, a pardon granted, money recovered, a deadline quietly missed. Links to the reporting that established it, and credit to the journalists who did the work.

Nothing has been sent yet. There is no letter going out until the list, the sender and the unsubscribe route are all real. You are signing up to be told when there is something worth your time — not to a stream.

What we do with your address

We store your address, the date you gave it to us, and which page you gave it on. Nothing else — no IP address, no tracking, no third party. It is used to send you the letter and for nothing else, and it is never sold, shared or traded.

Every letter carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click, with no login and no questions. That link works from the moment you sign up. If you would rather not wait for a letter to leave, the link in your first one will do it.
