Contact and corrections

Corrections and story tips: corrections@atlasahead.com About the letter: newsletter@atlasahead.com

Both reach a person. Neither is a ticketing system, so a reply may take a few days — but a correction is read before anything else in the queue.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong, we want to know, and we would rather hear it from you than not hear it at all. That includes small things: a date, a spelling, a job title, a link that has rotted.

Every claim we publish is sourced to reporting that established it, so the most useful correction tells us which claim and what the record actually says. If you have a link, send it. If you do not, send it anyway.

When we correct something, the correction stays visible. We do not quietly edit a page and move on.

If you are the subject of a story

If you are named on this site and believe we have it wrong, write to us. Tell us what is inaccurate and what the accurate version is. We will check it against the reporting and against the public record, and if we got it wrong we will say so on the page itself.

We do not remove accurate, sourced material. We do correct inaccurate material, and we will note when a status has changed — a charge dropped, a conviction overturned, an appeal won. Those changes are exactly what this site exists to follow.

Reporters and researchers

We amplify other people’s investigative work and link back to it. If you reported something we have covered and we have credited it wrongly, or not clearly enough, tell us and we will fix the credit.

What we do with what you send

Short version: we read it, and we keep the list of newsletter subscribers to send the newsletter. The site itself runs no scripts, sets no cookies and carries no trackers. The whole of it is on one page:
